There’s not a thing that I love more than supporting local businesses, so when Sarah Beth, a sweet momma, from Hampton, South Carolina, reached out to me and introduced me to her business, I was all over it!
This girl is talented, y’all. Whether you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind statement piece, or you’re trying to find a boho-chic-cowgirl-meets-preppy piece (it’s totally a thing, y’all)– which describes me in a nutshell– look no further.
I present to you S E Kennedy Designs.
She had me at the logo. So classic and southern. And her Etsy shop! The rustic staging is just gorgeous and fits perfectly with the design of her jewelry. The materials she chooses are totally unique, and each necklace is one-of-a-kind, which I think is just fabulous. I’ve rounded up two of my favorites for y’all.
This tassel necklace is made with wooden beads. Besides the turquoise tassel, my favorite part of this one is the fact that she chose to use chinoiserie beads. [For those of you that are not familiar with the word chinoiserie, it basically describes art of Chinese descent, and is fairly common in home decor– more specifically, blue and white decor. Anyone who has been in a southern home has probably seen some blue and white vases like this one gracing a mantle. It’s one of my favorite ways to decorate.]
This tassel and quatrefoil beaded necklace is another favorite of mine, and I can totally envision this with some Lilly Pulitzer and my gold Jacks this summer.
When Sarah Beth offered to send me a necklace from her shop to style myself, I went for something a little bolder. The necklace I chose is beaded and features part of a deer antler. An actual deer antler, y’all! I just thought that was the coolest thing– I mean, talk about a statement piece!
I had so much fun pretending to be a fashion blogger and having a little photo shoot with my girl Rachel (who is an actual fashion blogger and small shop owner herself!). It was a nice change of pace from changing diapers all day– it’s all about balance, y’all!
I hope y’all enjoyed this little shop feature and that you’ll head on over to Sarah Beth’s Etsy shop the next time you’re in the market for a statement piece. She’s constantly adding new pieces to her inventory, so keep checking back until you find that special piece that just speaks to your soul. I love mine!
