Keeping Up with the Mazzolas

Tantrums, Bipolar Weather, and Some More Croup

Does anyone else feel like this week is never. Going. To. End. We have had two major meltdowns at two different shopping establishments on two different days already this week. MOM LYFE. First one happened at Publix. And I mostly blame myself for it because I should've planned better. In case you're wondering, it's probably not a good idea to wait until you are completely out of everything on the Monday night after Thanksgiving weekend to take your temperamental two-year-old grocery shopping. If you do decide to do venture out with him, please be prepared for all of the cool race car shopping buggies to be taken. The picture below is the buggy we were stuck with, and he rode like that the whole time. Did I mention he was crying? Because he was. And I forgot my list, so there was that. This was not our most efficient shopping trip, but it also wasn't as bad as Tuesday's.

Momiform Monday

Yes I know it's Tuesday, and in the future, this will be posted on Monday. Totally fell asleep before I could find all the links. So I really hate Mondays. Loathe them actually. I feel like no matter how much or how little I have going on, I'm never really prepared for the beginning of a new week. First world problems, I know.

She Doesn't Even Go Here…

Follow my blog with Bloglovin [gallery ids="881,886,885" type="square"] A question I get a lot is Why do you like Alabama? You didn't even go there. You went to Clemson. Why don't you like Clemson? I will clear this up for y'all today, in honor of rivalry week and Iron Bowl Saturday. Today we ventured into enemy territory. We went into a Gamecock/Clemson shop donning our Bama jerseys (in all fairness, we were there to buy a birthday present for a sweet boy that just happens to be a USC fan). I didn't even do it on purpose. I realized once we rolled up that this was going to be an awkward experience. I've got to hand it to y'all, though-- Carolina and Clemson fans-- none of you gave me a hard time at all. In fact, a couple of people even commented on how darling the boys looked in their matching Bama jerseys. Thank you for being classy fans. Class and kindness is always appreciated. I promise you it goes a long way. I love that the people we came across today are friendly in spite of the rivalries that run so deep here, because that is how I want my boys to be raised. Humble in victory and defeat.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! (no, I’m not pregnant)

Follow my blog with Bloglovin Follow my blog with Bloglovin So I’m going to do something that every blogging how-to site says not to do. I’m going to change the name of my blog. GASP. I’m just not feeling The Secret Life of the Stay At Home Wife anymore. I mean, it’s cute and all, but it’s such a mouthful to say (and to type). And there’s no way to make a good hashtag out of it because it’s too many words.

5 Things I'm Thankful For

One thing that helps me cope with the train wreck seemingly never-ending cycle of unfortunate events that has been my 2016 is taking a moment when I'm stressed to think about 5 things that I am thankful for. And since this week just happens to be the week of Thanksgiving, that couldn't be more fitting.
