College Football

She Loves the Game

Y'all. I am on cloud nine right now. It's been a hell of a week, but when you get a lot of bad, you usually get some good that goes right along with it. I'll start with the bad-- because it's always better to end…

Losing with Grace and Dignity

Anyone who has ever met me knows that I am one of the biggest college football fans that ever lived-- for a girl, anyways. There have been a few times in my life where I probably behaved poorly because I am just that emotionally invested in college football. Specifically my Alabama Crimson Tide.

Bama vs. Clemson: the Sequel. Totes Awk.

Y'all. Why does Alabama have to play Clemson for the national championship? AGAIN. For those of you that don't know how deliciously awkward this is for me, let me just put this out there again. I went to school at Clemson. Graduated with my B.S. in Biological Sciences (#nerd). But my parents raised me to be an Alabama fan. That probably contributes to some of the crazy-- I'm sure I've got some kind of a complex.

She Doesn't Even Go Here…

Follow my blog with Bloglovin [gallery ids="881,886,885" type="square"] A question I get a lot is Why do you like Alabama? You didn't even go there. You went to Clemson. Why don't you like Clemson? I will clear this up for y'all today, in honor of rivalry week and Iron Bowl Saturday. Today we ventured into enemy territory. We went into a Gamecock/Clemson shop donning our Bama jerseys (in all fairness, we were there to buy a birthday present for a sweet boy that just happens to be a USC fan). I didn't even do it on purpose. I realized once we rolled up that this was going to be an awkward experience. I've got to hand it to y'all, though-- Carolina and Clemson fans-- none of you gave me a hard time at all. In fact, a couple of people even commented on how darling the boys looked in their matching Bama jerseys. Thank you for being classy fans. Class and kindness is always appreciated. I promise you it goes a long way. I love that the people we came across today are friendly in spite of the rivalries that run so deep here, because that is how I want my boys to be raised. Humble in victory and defeat.
